When to Apply for Student Visa?
First prerequisite for Student Visa is taking admission from an Iranian university. All the procedures of Student Visa can be done only through the university that you are admitted. In fact, you submit the required documents to the university, they apply Student Visa for you and the university will send you a copy of visa after issuing it.
Second prerequisite is your confirmation by Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. For this confirmation, you must register in the Ministry’s website and provide some information and documents. After registration, first of all, the university that you are admitted will confirm your admission and then the Ministry will check your documents and information and if everything is Ok, they will confirm your admission.
After passing these two prerequisites, you can apply for Student Visa.

As mentioned above, applying Student Visa is possible through the university that you are admitted. Student submits all required documents to the university and the university send a copy of Electronic Student Visa for the Student.

Where to Take Student Visa?
In the Student Visa application form, you can select Iran’s embassy or consulate in your home country or in any other country that you would like to take your Student Visa. After preparing visa, the university sends you electronic copy of your visa including a tracking code and you can take your visa from that embassy or consulate.
Please consider that you can take your visa only in the embassy or consulate that you selected and you cannot change it when the visa is issued.

Your transcripts and certificates are among the requirements for registration at Iranian universities. All these transcripts and certificates must be confirmed by Iran’s Embassy or Consulate.
